Bare with me while I learn my way around...

Welcome to your new Match Report - each week we will try and add a brief match report and live highlights will hopefully be during the game (test will be next week - wish me luck). ENJOY

Today's match was a reverse 'replay' from last week, heading into the storm we all knew they would have their heads on and want the win.
Despite some of our players being out last minute with illness and injury we started our league match with 10 players knowing it was going to be hard and Worplesdon Rangers kindly followed suit by also starting with 10 players (until the second half)!

Our first goal was scored by Calum in the 10th minute giving us a 0-1 lead until an equaliser from WR in the 22nd minute, they broke through once again getting another one in the back of the net giving them the lead in the 35th minute. Which was quite quickly turned around with two quick goals from Calum in the 37th minute and Jamie in the 39th minute, making the score 2-3!

The wind was strong but we continued playing, passing and using space allowing us to secure our lead through the second half Jamie brings home 2 more goals in the 45th and 50th minute. We are now 3 goals ahead until they break through once more bringing the score to 3-5, despite some of their players losing their heads, we maintained ours and continued playing as a team with Jamie making that hatrick turn to 4 and Calum following with another in the 68th minute!

A very well deserved win for us again today, we played well after working hard at training in weather we are not that use to it was a great game and even better travelling home with another win under our boots... well done today Royals!

The final score:
Worplesdon Ranger u13 Hurricanes 3 - 7 Sandhurst u13 Royals.
Goal Scorers:
Calum (10,37,68)
Jamie (39,45,50,unknown last time)

Our players of the game went to:
Taylor - for dominating the left side and chasing every ball
Jacob - for playing out of position in the second half and setting up the goal run

MESSAGE FROM THE COACH:
Steve Says -
I good game. Short on players but stepped up again with 10 with a big performance especially closing it out in the second half with the wind in our favour!!! There will be some tired legs later on!!!

Pom Taylor, chasing every ball and dominating the left side and Jacob playing out of position in second half and setting up the goal run. Could of been all of them to be fair.
Not sure why we play better with 10 but something clicked in the second half.

Kyle Says -
Sounds like a real shift was put in today against a tough opponent in tough conditions and with only 10 players. Please pass on that i am proud of them for digging in deep and gutted i had to miss it. They trained hard this week and i am glad they got the win they deserved.

Those who couldn't make it, hopefully a quick recovery and we get you back soon. In this league we are going to need everyone of our team.

Next week we are away again at Laleham FC details to follow - see you all at training as normal on Wednesday!
